Goals of Sustainability

The realization of a sustainable society. A society where all material loops are closed, and energy is derived from solar power. A society where materials reaching end-of-life are either biodegradable, or viable nutrients for the industrial system. The Earth will not be subject to extraction of non-renewable resources, or subject to collection of materials that do not enter the biosphere safely. Human activity will not alter the natural feature and function of the Earth or it's ecosystems, and bio diversity will be maintained. Human needs, including meaningful work, are met worldwide.
