One thing that you’ll find out quick when you start to gamble is that there are a lot of slang terms that people use. The casino cashier even uses terms that you won’t find anywhere else. That’s why you should try your best to learn and get to know the slang terms and words that the cashier might use or either other people at the table. The most famous one that the cashier might use is known as “The cage”.

You’ll notice that when you walk into the casino that there’s only one cashier and usually a casino has a lot of windows. It looks almost like something you would see at the bank. When you’re at the cashier area you can do a variety of exchanges. This is where you can exchange chips, coins and cash. When someone says they are going to “the cage” or the cashier says “the cage” then that’s what they are talking about. It literally does look like a cage with the windows around it. Some people go to the cage when they want to set up their credit line because they know they’re going to be doing some gaming and it’ll be very heavy. When a credit line is done then you can get the chips directly at the table with just signing the marker and then that way you won’t have to worry about carrying a big amount of cash with you. If you are worried about carrying your money around, then I highly recommend that you do this so you won’t have to worry about anything.
